And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. "Show Me a Denarius"Luke 20:19-26Sermon Sunday"the chief priests and scribes sought to arrest Jesus immediately because they perceived that he had spoken a parable against them. However, they feared the people and did not want to provoke them. They watched Jesus closely and sent spies to catch him in his words so they could deliver him to the governor's authority. The spies pretended to be sincere and asked Jesus if it was lawful to pay taxes to Caesar. Jesus, perceiving their craftiness, asked them to show him a denarius and asked whose image and inscription were on it. When they replied that it was Caesar's, Jesus responded, "Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."
